We wrap up our MCBA program this week with two exciting events. Battle of the Books will take place on Thursday, with several teams representing both the 4th and 5th grades. Students have been busy writing questions in preparation for the tournament. The trivia-style game will test students' knowledge of the books and reward close reading.
On Friday, students who have read at least five of the nominees will be eligible to vote. A "voting booth" will be set up in the library as part of our Dr. Seuss's birthday festivities. There are a couple of strong favorites among the nominees, but it will be exciting to see who wins. Our results will then be forwarded to Salem State to be included in the state-wide vote. A winner will be announced in April.

The 5th grade club is currently reading MCBA nominee, Moon over Manifest.
