And the winner is...

On Friday, as part of our Dr. Seuss's Birthday Celebration, students in grades 4 & 5 who read at least five of this year's MCBA nominees cast their vote for their favorite book.
There were clear favorites!

Our school results have been forwarded to Salem State University, organizers of the state program. Next year's list will be released in June, just in time for some great summer reading. 

Battle of the Books

On Thursday we held our first Battle of the Books. Twenty students in grades 4 and 5 took part, reading books and writing questions. The competition was very evenly matched and the readers demonstrated great recall of the details of the books they had read.
